The University of Georgia's star running back Todd Gurley tore his ACL this weekend, most likely ending his college career. The injury comes just weeks after the school upped Gurley's insurance policy to $10 million, says ESPN.
The policy includes $5 million in total disability if Gurley were to be injured and never play again, and $5 million in loss of value insurance if he injured himself and slipped in the draft. Sources tell ESPN Georgia paid between $50,000 and $60,000 for the policy, which was written by International Specialty Insurance.
Previously, Gurley had $5 million in total disability and $2.5 million in loss of value.
