Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital and the family of Thomas Eric Duncan, the only person so far to die of Ebola in the U.S., have reportedly reached a settlement in the family's medical malpractice lawsuit. The hospital had previoulsy admitted making mistakes in Duncan's treatment, including initially releasing him before admitting him for care.
Details of the settlement were not disclosed.
"We have wrapped this up," family lawyer Les Weisbrod told reporters, adding the family will not be billed for Duncan's care. "The size and details of the settlement are confidential."
