Aon, the leading global provider of risk management and human resources solutions (NYSE: AON), today launched an Ebola response product available to all health care institutions and features worldwide coverage on cases brought in the U.S.
Negotiated in partnership with Hiscox, the product covers scenarios where existing liability programs may not apply. The product provides up to $25 million of liability coverage. It is available exclusively through Aon for a period of 60 days.
“The Ebola outbreak’s impact on the health care industry is raising questions and uncertainties for our clients around the world,” said Michael J. O’Connor, CEO of Aon Risk Solutions. “This is a great example of Aon’s ability to listen to clients, understand their needs and build innovative products to help address those needs.”
In addition to the development of the Ebola Liability Insurance Wrap, health and risk professionals across Aon have been monitoring the current Ebola outbreak and providing guidance to clients directly and through the Aon Ebola Response Room. This platform provides high-level insight on the Ebola situation, specifically as it relates to Ebola-related risk exposures, duty of care and human capital concerns.
