Hub International Ltd. acquired the assets of Marrs Maddocks & Assocs. Insurance Services Inc. of Carlsbad, Calif. Marrs Maddocks & Assocs. Provides commercial property/casualty and employee benefits brokerage services, as well as workplace wellness program services in the greater San Diego area. The company's three principles, Richard Marrs, Daniel Marrs and Nancy Maddocks, and their staff will join Hub International Insurance Services in California.
Lockton Cos. agreed to acquire the Glasgow general insurance business of Griffiths & Armour. The acquisition further builds on Lockton's investments in the Scottish corporate insurance market.

AIR Worldwide, catastrophe risk modeling firm, announced the release of a detailed, physical based probabilistic inland flood model for the U.S. The new model provides insurers and other industry stakeholders with a comprehensive tool for assessing and managing inland flood risk at a high resolution for locations on and off the many varied floodplains across the country.
