Earlier this week two container ships got into a little dustup while navigating the Suez Canal in Egypt, when one 300 meter-plus ship turned directly into the path of another ship, broadsiding it in open water.
The incident involved the MV Colombo Express and the MV Maersk Tanjong, which now sports a 65-foot dent in its side. Three shipping containers ended up in the water as a result.
After the accident, Reuters reported that "the incident has severely interrupted the second southbound convoy and the northbound convoy is therefore expected to be delayed."
