Seven new commercial insurance and employee benefits brokerages have joined The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers, bringing the total for the year to 21 new members.
The most recent members are Bouchard Insurance (Clearwater, Fla.), Dealey Renton & Associates (Oakland, Calif.), EWI Reinsurance, Inc. (Dallas), Flood and Peterson (Greeley, Colo.), Lutgert Insurance (Naples, Fla.), Risk Strategies (Boston), SIACI (Paris, France).
Other recent Council members include Ascende, Inc.; Associated Financial Group; Buck Consultants, a Xerox Company; Burns & Wilcox Ltd.; Cobbs Allen; Corporate Synergies Group; Holmes Murphy & Associates; Keenan; NFP; Price Forbes; ProInsurance; Warner Pacific; Wholesale Trading Co-Op Ins. Srvcs.; and Worldwide Facilities Inc.
“In the last eight months, we've added a great diversity of leading brokerage firms around the world. It's a tribute to the dynamic community we've built here at The Council, and I'm thrilled to have these seven new member firms be part of our organization,” said Ken A. Crerar, president/CEO of The Council. “This is a great new class of firms and we know their involvement will enrich our organization.”
The Council also added two insurer members: Starr Companies and Nationwide Insurance, and industry partner, the Worldwide Broker Network, to its Leadership Circle corporate sponsorship platform.
The Council will host its 101st Insurance Leadership Forum next month in Colorado Springs.
