Aon Risk Solutions on Wednesday annouced it had acquired Lima, Peru-based Graña y Asociados as part of a push to expand its reach in Latin America.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Latin America is one of the fastest-growing regions and a key area of focus for Aon and our clients,” says Michael O'Connor, chief executive officer of Aon Risk Solutions, in a statement annoucing the acquisition. “Graña is a market leader in Peru, with deep expertise in the construction and mining industries. Their local knowledge and expertise, combined with Aon's global strength, will empower results for clients in Peru.”

According to Aon, Graña y Asociados specializes in providing a range of risk and insurance solutions for individuals and businesses, locally, regionally and globally. The firm currently employs 60 people at its office in Lima.
