The Workers' Compensation Institute's annual Workers' Compensation Educational Conference (WCEC), to be held Aug. 17-20 at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Florida, will include a two-day breakout for risk managers, addressing several workers' comp-related challenges critical to their mitigation programs.

Day one's program begins at 1 p.m. with "Measuring the Success of Your Risk Management Program: If You Can't Measure It, You Can't Manage It," moderated by Misty Hambright, workers' compensation claims manager for American Airlines. Featured on this panel of heavy hitters will be Scott P. Rogers, executive director, EVP casualty operations for Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc.; David Stills, vice president, risk management for Walmart; and Michele Adams, director, claims management and business strategies-risk management services for Walt Disney World.

The panelists will discuss which measurements can lead to best understanding the results of a risk management program, and share strategies as to what they have found works—and what doesn't—in measuring their risk management programs.
