RiskMatch, an insurance industry business intelligence and analytics firm that provides portfolio management and placement solutions to brokers and insurers, was issued U.S. patent No. 8,666,788, “Systems and methods for facilitating an insurance marketplace for negotiations among brokers and insurance carriers.” The patent relates to RiskMatch's capabilities for facilitating connections and enables collaboration between brokers and insurance companies to address client needs.

Xuber, Xchanging's insurance software business, signed a contract with Ascot Underwriting Ltd. for the provision of Xuber Claims. Under the contract, Xuber will provide a comprehensive claims management solution with embedded workflow to optimize, automate and measure each stage of the claims life cycle.

Pneuron Corp. implemented its Distributed Analytics solution for ProSight Specialty Insurance. ProSight deployed Pneuron across multiple internal and external systems within 90 days of contract execution, applying sophisticated integrated analytics to create a single view of claim relationships for the business. The new distributed approach to data analysis allows ProSight's customer service team to easily access client history and claims data as part of their specialized approach to customer service.

Global specialist insurer Hiscox seleted Sapiens International Corp.'s Sapiens IDIT Software Suite as a common platform for its global retail insurance business. The platform includes policy administration, claims and billing.

Tech Development

LexisNexis Risk Solutions announced the availability of its suite of predictive models for auto insurers, LexisNexis Attract for Telematics. This is the first and only commercially available solution in the United States that can score an individual's driving behavior across multiple vehicles, vehicle usage patterns across mulitple drivers and can return those results on an individual driver, vehicle or household level. Attract for Telematics is part of an end-to-end telematics solution from LexisNexis that also includes telematics data collection, processing, scoring and storage; a white-label mobile application for smartphones; a white-label consumer-facing dashboard; and consumer support. The solution leverages existing data interfaces between LexisNexis and nearly all U.S. insurers.

Aon eSolutions received third-party ISO 27001:2005 certification for its RIScloud branded customer data centers and for Aon eSolutions offices in the United States and Europe. The certification varifies that the ISO information security standards are an integrated part of all company processes and technology systems. The compliance with ISO 27001:2005 was certified by BSI Group.
