Aon Risk Solutions announced several promotions within the company's Northeast region. Coinciding with the retirement of northeast regional leader and Pittsburgh resident managing director Dan D'Alessandro, who will enter the first phase of his retirement in 2014, Jennifer Ball and John Moskal will assume new roles. Bell will become the new leader for the Northeast region, and Moskal will succeed D'Alessandro as resident managing director for Aon's Pittsburgh operation.

Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford confirmed that CEO Ron Carlier departed from the company after six months of holding the position. The Real Time/Download Campaign named Elizabeth Kittell to the position of campaign director. New Programs Maritime Program Group announced their Marine Artisan Contractor Program. The program is scalable and comes in two policy options, offering both single policy insurance combined with limits for MGL, MOLL and P&I with defense costs inside the limit or clients can purchase a single policy with separate limits. Victor O. Schinnerer & Co. announced a new Energy Program, which provides a suite of P&C coverage for a range of oil and gas contractors and consultants available in Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Minnesota, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Tennessee. Mergers & Acquisitions On behalf of R-T Specialty, Ryan Specialty Group announced that all closing conditions and required approvals have been met in accordance with the company's merger with Westrope. The transaction closed on December 1. The Woodlands Financial Group acquired Ward Business Insurance, a high volume commercial agency. The acquisition has allowed the company to create a “supersize southeast Texas agency” for business and residential customers. News Old National Bancorp's insurance subsidary is taking over a group of accounts from Wells Fargo. Old National Insurance bought the accounts service by the Evansville, Ind. branch of Wells Fargo Insurance. The accounts were mostly commercial P&C accounts.
Technology Distinguished NetVU members and partners are asking for assistance in nominating a recipient for the 2013 Insurance Automation Award – in Memory of Wade S. Dumbar Jr. The award honors individuals who have demonstrated high principles while continuing Dunbar's mission for industry-wide solutions. The nomination deadline is December 2 and will be presented during the 2014 NetVU Conference.
