Six months after being named CEO of Cooper Gay Re North America, Ron Carlier has left the position.

Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford confirmed the news on Tuesday. Carlier was named to the New York-based position in May.

Carlier's departure marked the second resignation from the company within the last week. Earlier in November, Gordon Newman was appointed to the position of CEO following last month's acquisition of Newman Martin & Buchan LLP. Cooper Gay confirmed in a statement on Nov. 18 that Sam Hovey, Cooper Gay's previous CEO resigned and left the company.

Despite the recent departures, Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford intends to continue their services and strive for further development.

“We remain committed to our U.S. reinsurance business and to developing our strategy and platform in the region. We will be making further announcements shortly,” the company said in a statement.
