As more millennials enter the workplace, the traditional 9-to-5 workday is becoming outdated by the new generation's modern attitudes toward work.
Concepts such as self-employment and freelancing are growing in popularity with young people in the workforce, and a recent survey of 2,000 freelancing millennials revealed that 89 percent would prefer to choose their own hours, rather than working a traditional 9-to-5 position.
But the next generation's dissatisfaction with the current state of the workplace does not stop there. Forbes indicates that 45 percent of millennials are more likely to choose a workplace that provides more flexibility over a position that offers higher pay, although economic security is still a major concern.
