FirstBest Systems, Inc., announces the availability of FirstBest UMS Express for workers' comp insurers. The new off-the-shelf, ACORD-based solution can be deployed in as little as three months and builds on FirstBest's experience in providing underwriting management systems to mono-line and multi-line commercial carriers, including many in workers' comp.
FirstBest UMS Express provides carriers with an underwriting management system that enables them to drive premium growth and improve underwriting profitability, rapidly enter new markets, deliver new products, and achieve high service levels with agents and brokers.
"The insurance industry has been challenged by long, high-risk system deployments. By contrast, UMS Express can be deployed in as little as three months and provides rapid time to underwriting improvement. Now insurers can quickly introduce underwriting automation with little to no risk, while rapidly driving improved underwriting efficiency, discipline and best-in-class service," says Paul Cummings, vice president of engineering at FirstBest. "The solution for workers' comp carriers provides robust underwriting workflow, collaboration, and access to third-party data, all in less time than the typical requirements phases of other system deployments."
