Registration is open for the first-ever Women in Insurance Global Conference, in which the industry's professional senior leaders will discuss how gender diversity in the C-suite is critical for companies to be relevant and successful in today's business environment.
The conference, occurring June 12 to June 14 in New York, was developed by the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) to explore why women, although well-represented in middle management roles, are under-represented in executive and boardroom positions, and what female insurance professionals can do to mend the gap.
“I think it is tremendous that we are starting to build a global network of professional women who are active in the insurance industry,” says Terri Vaughan, former CEO of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. “The conference will not only raise awareness and help the conversation, it will give women leaders an opportunity to meet, share experiences, and form relationships for the future.”
