American Insurance Group says it is officially once again retaining the “AIG” name for its property and casualty business.

The company also announced a new tagline: “Bring on Tomorrow.”

The rebranding from the Chartis name back to AIG became effective November 11 and was announced in June.

“AIG as a global insurance brand is back,” says AIG President and CEO Robert H. Benmosche in a release. “The re-launch of the AIG name marks a significant achievement for our company. 'Bring on tomorrow' underscores AIG's tremendous tenacity and ambition- to solve problems, to innovate for the benefit of our clients, and to act as a powerful, global team.”

The company's life and retirement segment has been altered to AIG Life and Retirement. Other AIG family brands including VALIC, Lexington Insurance, American General, SunAmerica and Western National will continue business operations without any change.
