Mobile-home owners in Florida insured by the state's residual property insurer will see rates rise by an average of 0.3 percent, the state's Office of Insurance Regulation said late yesterday.
The order affects 171,028 policies, the office says.
Citizens requested an overall increase of 3.9 percent.
The department ordered a decrease of 1.2 percent for mobile-home owners multiperil coverage and an increase of 2.6 percent on mobile-home physical damage (dwelling fire).
Citizens requested an increase of 4.1 percent for homeowners multiperil and 3.7 percent increase for mobile-home physical damage (dwelling fire).
