The Better World Club of Portland offers a special line provided by Gales Creek Insurance Services called BIKEon to members of its bicycle roadside assistance program. The line can be purchased independently of auto insurance, a condition that used to exclude those who didn't own cars from being insured. Details include:
- Eligibility for road bikes, mountain bikes and electric bikes
- Up to $100,000 in bill reimbursement
- Liability payments of up to $1 million for accidents caused by the insured.
The program is a major victory for avid cyclists. Primary members of the Bike Only roadside assistance program offered by Better World Club will receive this coverage for no extra charge. The Bike Only program is $39.95, and the insurance coverage can be added to associate members for $17. For more information, visit betterworldclub.com.
