Insurance software company Applied Systems announces the release of its Epic 6, the newest version of its agency and broker management system.
Epic has been adopted by more than 500 agencies and nearly 17,000 users, according to Applied. Epic's .NET architecture provides a single-system solution, scalable enough to meet a variety of needs from mid-sized agencies up to the largest enterprise-level organizations.
The application's interface, based on agency best-practices workflows, is designed to allow users to streamline business operations.
Epic 6 provides agents and brokers with streamlined agent/carrier communication, particularly for commercial middle-market business. Among the system's efficiencies are enhanced policy workflows, expanded real-time options, and new methods for agencies and carriers to exchange information and attachments.
In addition, Epic 6 provides accounting efficiencies, enabling agencies to manage producer/broker commission payables and revenue sharing among agencies. The software also enables agencies to allocate expenses across multiple agencies and generate comparative financial reports.
“We're looking forward to Epic 6 for several reasons, including the value of the marketing capabilities,” says Sherrie Aldrich, corporate project manager at Alliant Insurance Services, an Epic 6 beta agency.
“The workflow in the Epic system had already assisted us in creating and managing the marketing process,” says Aldrich. “Because of the capabilities in Epic 6, we anticipate the ability to manage even more effectively and provide quantifiable statistics regarding our submissions and carriers, further enriching our communications and relationships with our carriers.”
