Two New Jersey home renters sued their landlord to reclaim the security deposit they put down on a house they say is haunted.

Of course, they didn't know it was haunted when they rented it.

But soon after moving in, the family said they started sensing paranormal activity. They came home to find towels and clothes strewn about the house. They heard footsteps in their kitchen at night. And finally, one night the ghost allegedly assaulted one of the homeowners by attempting to remove his pajamas.

The tenants moved out after one week and into a motel. They are now asking for their $2,250 deposit back.

The landlord is not convinced. He said the couple is using him as a scapegoat to solve their money problems.

Two ghost investigation groups have been into the house. The first investigation was inconclusive, finding there was psychic energy but not intelligence. The second said the house contained the most evidence of paranormal activity they had ever seen.
