Chartis has rolled out Leaders Risk Protector, a modular-insurance plan designed for schools, associations and public entities and the exposures of their employees and management staff.
Developed by the Chartis Financial Lines division, the plan combines a number of coverages into a single policy for errors & omissions, management, network security and privacy, event management and employment-practices liability.
“Schools, public entities, and associations may be held responsible for damages emanating from diverse exposures including breach of public duty, employment practice violations, and data security and private violations,” says John Gambale, Chartis' president of the Professional Liability unit within Financial Lines, in a statement. “Leaders Risk Protection delivers far-reaching coverage for these multifaceted liabilities in one policy form.”
These exposures include expanded Employment Practices Liability Insurance for workplace bullying and violations of the Genetic Information Non-Discrimination Act, which prohibits the use of genetic information in employment and health insurance.
Leaders Risk Protector offers Security & Privacy insurance to respond to third-party liability claims arising from a network security breach or compromised personal information, Event Management Insurance to pay for public-relations services to assist in maintaining information privacy after an incident, and CrisisFund Insurance providing money to hire a preapproved public relations firm to preserve the insured's reputation in case of crisis.
