North Dakota Rep. George Keiser has applied for a spot on the Federal Advisory Committee on Insurance, says the National Conference of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL).

The Treasury Department in May announced the formation of the committee, which will give advice to the Federal Insurance Office (FIO) formed by the Dodd-Frank financial services law.
