IICF names directors, exec committee: The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation approved the Midwest Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Twelve senior executives representing Chicagoland companies serve. Kathleen Savio, executive vice president and chief administrative officer of Zurich North America, will chair the Midwest division. Joining Savio on the Midwest Division Board of Directors is Vice Chairman Tom Ealy of Willis Group Holdings, Treasurer Michael Powell of CNA, Grants Chair William Donnell of Swiss Re and Fundraising Co-Chairs Deborah Broderick of Wells Fargo Insurance Services and Richard Gulliver of Hub International. Board members at-large include Peter Hahn of McKinsey & Co., Kevin Smith of Chubb, James Dwyer of Dewey & LeBoeuf, Adrian Matthews of ACE Group, Patrick Talley of Lloyd's America, and Tom Pluss of Lockton Cos.

Nordhaus to be inducted into Tenn. Insurance Hall of Fame: George Nordhaus, chairman at Agencies Online, will be inducted into the Robert E. Musto Tennessee Insurance Hall of Fame in July. Nordhaus is the foundr of the insurance-education publishing firm, Insurors Press (now known as the Insurance Marketing and Management Services); the youngest non-British Name at Lloyd's of London; and the co-founder and chairman of Agencies Online.

Feliciano named VP at ACIC: Armand Feliciano has been named vice president at the Assn. of California Insurance Cos. (ACIC). Feliciano joins ACIC with 17 years of legal, regulatory and legislative advocacy experience in California. Feliciano will be responsible for government affiars outreach on personal lines issue and regulatory efforts in California.

Lockton hires VP: Marianne Halvorsen joined the Lockton Cos. as vice president and producer. Halvorsen comes to the company from Willis, where she served as vice president, client advocate.

Roe named to UFO board, chairs Indiana YAC: Andy Roe, AU, ASLI, vice president of Arlington/Roe & Co., Indianapolis, has been named vice president of the AAMGA Under Forty Organization Board of Directors, and also chair of the IIABA Indiana Young Agents Committee.

Mergers & Acquisitions

Gallagher acquires broker, subsidiary: Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. acquired Fish & Schulkamp Inc., Madison, Wis., a retail insurance broker providing commercial property & casualty and risk management services to clients throughout the central United States. The company also acquired Independent Fiduciary Services Inc., Washington, D.C., which will join Gallagher's investment advisory subsidiary GBS Investment Consulting LLC.

Cross Insurance acquires brokerage: Bangor, Maine-based Cross Insurance, a subsidiary of Cross Financial Corp., acquired Thomas Gregory Assocs. (TGA) to expand the recently formed Cross Insurance Wakefield. TGA p rovides insurance and risk management services for commercial property & casualty insurance, presonal insurance en employee benefits. In March 2011, Cross Insurance acquired Mazonson Insurance in Wakefield, Mass., to form Cross Insurance Wakefield. With TGA's acquisition, the agency will now have over 50 employees in its Wakefield office.

New Policies

WKF&C PRO launches assisted living facilities program: WKF&C PRO has added an assisted living facilities program. It is available on non-admitted paper in all states except Alaska and certain counties in Florida. The program offers limits as high as $2 million/$4 million. Minimum premium starts at $1,800 for professional liability on a claims-made basis. General liability minimum premium is $450 for claism made and $600 on an occurance basis. Optional coverage includes defense outside the limites, full-limit punitive damages, employers benefit liability and sexual abuse/molestation. The program is not available for nursing homes.

Westfield launches WesWorks: Westfied Insurance has partnered with ReEmployAbility to offer a workers' compensation program that benefits community service organizations.
