RIMS says it has established RISK PAC, a political-action committee to support the campaigns of candidates for the U.S. Congress.
The PAC is registered with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) and will comply with all requirements of the Federal Election Campaign Act and FEC regulations.
"The RIMS board of directors unanimously voted to authorize the establishment of RISK PAC to help elect candidates who will advance the practice of risk management and the interests of our members on public-policy issues important to the risk-management profession," Scott Clark, president of RIMS, says in a statement.
