Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.-based insurance broker USI Insurance Services said it has acquired The Amerisc Corp., Atlynx Surety Brokers LLC and its principal affiliates.

Financial terms of the deal were not released.

Amerisc, based in Garden City, N.Y., with an office in Nanuet, N.Y., specializes in commercial property and casualty, surety, and employee-benefits insurance for middle-market businesses and is expected to contribute approximately $11 million in revenues to USI on an annual basis.

Michael J. Sicard, USI's chairman, president and chief executive officer, said the transaction would combine USI's Woodbury, N.Y., office with Amerisc's Garden City office at a new location yet to be determined. The combination would make it one of the largest middle-market insurance brokers in Long Island. The Nanuet office will also expand the firm's reach into surrounding parts of New York and North Jersey.

Chicago-based insurance broker Hub International Ltd. said it has acquired M.B. Plumpton Insurance Consultants Inc., a Toronto, Ontario, Canada-based insurance brokerage firm.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Founded in 1992, M.B. offers employee benefits and life insurance products and services to businesses and individuals throughout the Ontario area.

Mary Beth Plumpton, the founder and owner of M.B., and the M.B. operations will join HKMB Hub International Ltd. (HKMB Hub), reporting to Tim A. Witchell, president, Wealth Management and Employee Benefits, HKMB Hub.

Hunt Valley, Md.-based wholesale broker All Risks Ltd. said it has acquired Champion Special Risk Brokers LLC of Coconut Creek, Fla.

Financial terms of the transaction were not released.

Champion has provided specialty excess and surplus line products and solutions to the independent agents since 2006.

Steven H. Kass, president of Champion, and his staff will join the existing All Risk office in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Itasca, Ill.-based insurance broker Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. said it has completed its acquisition of Woodbrook Underwriting Agencies Ltd. of London.

The acquisition was announced in late February.
