Amica Insurance has teamed up with FiveMobile to develop a mobile app that is making the claims process more accessible to customers.
“This means most of our customers can now access their accounts, file claims, contact our Roadside Assistance Program, and even browse recommended repair shops directly from their mobile phones,” said Lisa St. Onge, assistant vice president in Amica's claims department.
The technology provides customers with the most current information about their claim, and allows them to perform any number of tasks associated with the claims process. Users can do everything from requesting emergency repair services to scheduling maintenance reminders directly from their phones.
Access to most of the features is limited to Amica customers. However, there are some useful functions available to non-customers, as well. The home inventory feature is available to the public, and it offers users a way to keep track of and categorize their belongings from room to room, in case they need to file a claim for an item later. The app can be downloaded for the iPhone or any of the Android or Blackberry smartphones.
