Chicago-based insurance broker Aon Corp. declared a quarterly cash dividend of 15 cents a share late Friday.
The dividend is payable on Feb. 15 to shareholders of record as of Feb. 1.
For the third quarter of 2010, Aon reported net income was up $24 million to $144 million over the same period last year, which translated into a 10 cent increase in earnings per share to 52 cents. Revenues were virtually flat at $1.8 billion.
For the first nine months of the year, net income was down 13 percent, or $74 million, to $475 million, or $1.71 a share. Revenues rose 1 percent, or $81 million, to $5.6 billion.
Late today, Aon said it plans to release its fourth quarter and year end results on Feb. 4, before the markets open. The firm will hold an investor's conference call the same morning.
