Welcome to PropertyCasualty360.com, a new site that the editors of National Underwriter, Property & Casualty; American Agent & Broker; Claims; Tech Decisions; and Florida Underwriter have created to serve as one distinct and vital information source for all P&C insurance professionals.

What is PropertyCasualty360.com? The site represents the fruition of a year-long plan to address a critical need among our readerships. In a survey Summit Business Media conducted, 96.5 percent of P&C professionals reported that, currently, there is no single source of content that addresses all of their information needs.

Consider that need addressed.

We brought together the Web sites from each magazine in Summit Business Media’s P&C Insurance Network to create the only P&C-focused source of information that addresses the concerns of insurance specialists like you: agents and brokers; risk professionals and corporate buyers; claims professionals, and home office staff, including underwriters and insurance IT executives.

Much like the companies and readers for whom we write, we set out to create a more efficient and useful product that delivered services for our customers. That meant tearing down the walls to the silicon studs to bring five established and well-respected magazines under one roof. But don’t worry, we left the foundation intact; the same editorial staffs (with more than 200 years of combined editorial experience) are now just working together as one.

That means all of our existing individual sites — Property-Casualty.com, AgentandBroker.com, ClaimsMag.com, Tech-Decisions.com, and FloridaUnderwriter.com — and their expert staff and contributors have found a new home at PropertyCasualty360.com. All of these sites and their archived content, as well as the online versions of each publication’s print magazine, have been rolled into PropertyCasualty360.com.

We organized the site into five main channels — Markets, Risk, Claims, Agent & Broker, and Technology — that will feature content guided by our full-time editors as well as breaking news from our online news staff. You will also find exclusive contributions from experts and opinion leaders like Chris Amrhein and Rick Gilman from American Agent & Broker; the FC&S Online staff and Ken Brownlee from Claims Magazine; and Paul Rolich and George Grieve from Tech Decisions.

We have also streamlined our eNewsletters to help you define the content that you wish to receive. If your are looking for daily breaking news on the P&C industry, sign up to receive our Daily eNews. Interested only in Agent & Broker or Claims-related information? We have you covered. To see all of your options for having content delivered directly to you, click here.

The wisdom of our editors and columnists will be supplemented by an influx of exclusive content written by experienced contributors and bloggers, some of whom include:

  • Claire Wilkinson of Insurance Information Institute, discussing current P&C trends;
  • Kathy Donovan of Wolters Kluwer Financial Services, explaining compliance issues for the industry;
  • Consultants from research and advisory firms TowerGroup, Novarica, and Celent, writing on technology trends and best practices; and
  • James Jones of the Katie School of Insurance and Financial Services at Illinois State, with advice on leadership skills and how to connect with the next generation of insurance professionals.

It’s an exciting time and there will be more to come throughout the year. So explore PropertyCasualty360.com, and let me know what you think by e-mailing me at [email protected], or by inserting your comments below to tell us how we’re doing.
