Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. said last week it made two separate acquisitions of agencies in Las Vegas and Mesa, Ariz.

The Itasca, Ill.--based insurance brokerage firm said it has acquired Aviation Insurance Holdings, Inc., headquartered in Las Vegas and Tribeca Strategic Advisors, LLC, located in Mesa, Arizona.

Financial terms of both transactions were not disclosed.

Established in 1977, Aviation Insurance Holdings, trading as Aviation Insurance Services (AIS), is a retail insurance broker, offering aviation and aerospace insurance and related risk management services for their clients globally. They also specialize in insurance for aviation parts and accessories manufacturers, aircraft management and charter organizations and fixed-base operators.

Ronald A. Hill, the principal, and his staff of about 35 employees, will continue to operate in their Nevada, Florida and Illinois locations under the direction of James G. McFarlane, Western regional manager of Gallagher's retail property and casualty brokerage operation.

Established in 1999, Tribeca is an alternative risk and captive consulting and management company providing captive management services to their small and middle-market group and association clients throughout the United States. They specialize in the design, implementation, licensure and management of captive insurance companies.

Karl N. Huish, the principal, and about 20 associates will continue to operate in their Arizona location under the direction of David McManus, president of Artex Risk Solutions, Inc., AJG's captive management and alternative risk programs subsidiary.
