Professional wrestler Hulk Hogan has added his ex-wife to a previously filed lawsuit against Wells Fargo Insurance Services.

The lawsuit filed in Pinellas County, Fla. alleges insurance broker Wells Fargo Southeast did not inform the popular entertainer, whose real name is Terry Bollea, of an additional excess/umbrella policy to cover his assets. This left Mr. Bollea underinsured when his son, Nick, was in a 2007 automobile accident that severely injured a passenger.

According to court documents Mr. Bollea's ex-wife Linda was added to the lawsuit because she was his business manager and allegedly had the responsibility of attaining the right insurance for her then husband.

Wells Fargo has said the claim is without merit.

Mr. Bollea used Wells Fargo as his insurance broker for about 10 years and relied on the broker to tell him about additional insurance coverage to protect his worth, which was about $30 million in August 2007, according to court documents.

The professional wrestler signed for his son's driver's license, which exposed him to more liability, but his insurance remained inadequate, the suit says. In August 2007 Mr. Bollea's son got into an accident and left the passenger with a serious brain injury.

Mr. Bollea settled claims against him related to the accident for an undisclosed amount.
