While health insurers passed a 3 percent increase in premiums along to employers this year, workers at those companies faced a 14 percent averaged increase, the Kaiser Family Foundation survey found.
The average cost of family health policies this year is $13,770. The employees' share increased to about $4,000.
Employers pay the balance, but their share did not increase this year, according to the survey.
