The Florida Association of Insurance Agents (FAIA) is one of a group of nine independent insurance agents associations across the country that have combined training resources to form the Agents & Brokers Education Network (ABEN).

The network's multi-state make-up allows for the exchange of both content and instructional resources that serve to augment the associations' normal training calendars. Through ABEN webcasts, insurance professionals will be able to participate in virtual classrooms from their own offices, which may also include group-training experiences.

FAIA and the other founding members are affiliated with the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America. In addition to FAIA, ABEN current members include Insurance Brokers and Agents of the West, Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois, Independent Insurance Agents of Louisiana, Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina, Independent Insurance Agents of Oklahoma, Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of South Carolina, Independent Insurance Agents of Texas and Insurors of Tennessee.

"We are excited to team up with our fellow Big I state associations from around the United States to offer the insurance community the best virtual training experience available," said FAIA President and CEO Jeff Grady. "ABEN offers insurance agents all over the nation a simple way to maintain their education and to receive the most up to date news on the industry from a group of highly recognized instructors."

The live webcasts are completely interactive, allowing for both instructor questions and discussion among students. The inaugural webcast, "Changes to Certificates of Liability Insurance - The New Normal," will be broadcast October 14. It will examine recent changes to the ACORD certificate of liability (ACORD 25) and the impact it will have on agents and their staff, their clients, certificate holders, agency management systems and more.

The ABEN Network is also available to insurance professionals from around the country, including non-members. For information on how to register for classes offered by ABEN, visit http://faia.aben.tv.
