Brown & Brown Inc. has bought the assets of Commonwealth Insurance. It did not detail terms of the deal.
Founded in 1996, Commonwealth Insurance has annual revenues of about $2.6 million. It provides commercial property and casualty, group employee benefits and workplace safety products.
Brown & Brown of South Carolina's Charleston office will move into Commonwealth Insurance Group's office in North Charleston led by Commonwealth founder Todd Tyler.
