StoneRiver, a provider of strategic core operational solutions for the insurance industry, announced the debut of its Insurance Integration Platform (IIP), the underlying foundation of the StoneRiver Stream P&C insurance administration solution.
The integrated Stream applications constitute an enterprise solution built on the service-oriented StoneRiver IIP, which embeds a full enterprise service bus.
"While the focus of the Stream solution is on solving business problems, the technical platform supports a carrier's quest to become leaner, faster and smarter," says Gary Sherne, president of StoneRiver Insurance Solutions. "The enterprise service bus is roughly parallel to a symphony conductor orchestrating various instruments with a common musical score," Sherne added. "The service bus orchestrates underlying services in composite business processes that can be reconfigured, so true plug-and-play capability is possible."
The StoneRiver IIP enables new business, operational and technical opportunities for carriers by providing easier business process automation, integration, and a rich user interface framework. The platform allows the Stream solution and component applications to scale for business expansion so carriers can remain lean during periods of growth.
