Joseph J. Plumeri, chairman and chief executive officer of Willis Group Holdings, was honored with Beta Gamma Sigma's 2010 Business Achievement Award, one of three businessmen to be honored nationally.

The award (http://tinyurl.com/3ymlyqe) was given by Beta Gamma Sigma, the international business honor society, and Seton Hall University's Stillman School of Business in South Orange, N.J., during a celebratory dinner on Monday.

The honor is awarded annually to individuals who have made significant accomplishments in business and contributions to the community.

The other two honored this year were Keith Busse, chairman and CEO of Steel Dynamics Inc., and Robert S. Reitman, former CEO of Trazonic Companies and chairman of the Robert S. and Sylvia K. Reitman Philanthropic Fund.
