This year, ACE America's Claims Event returns to Las Vegas, Nev. for its 14th iteration. Steeped in a rich tradition of claims excellence, the event takes place from June 22-24, 2010 at the Bellagio Hotel and is sponsored by Claims Magazine. With informative sessions, abundant networking opportunities, and dynamic roundtable discussions, ACE will catalyze the claims workforce. The fresh installment will feature a dedicated track encompassing business operations and technology education.
Each year the show's speakers excel at illuminating key issues and proffering vital solutions, which is part of the draw, says Josh Brous, director of programs at Summit Business Media. In fact, this year's attendance is currently projected to reach 625, an uptick from the 500 reported in 2009. According to Brous, the swell is a testament to the show's relevance and valuable content.
"We are building from the momentum of a great show in 2009," Brous said. "Attendance is pacing ahead of last year by close to 25 percent. Aside from better market conditions, the swell can be attributed to the resources at ACE that facilitate learning and foster collaboration in an exceptional way."
Over the course of the conference, a series of keynote presentations, panel discussions, interactive workshops, and general sessions will be held. Roundtables will be oriented toward technology considerations, including the Web's impact on claims. In addition, the winner of this year's highly anticipated Claims Professional of the Year Award will be revealed on Thursday, June 24 at 9:00 a.m. Three tracks -- technology, business operations/catastrophe, and fraud -- will cover topics ranging from a managerial snapshot of the future to quelling medical fraud to the evolving role of a claim adjuster.
The collective expertise of this year's keynote speakers is also noteworthy, Brous added, as top-level representatives from Allstate, Chartis, and the National Insurance Crime Bureau will be leading discussions about the breakdown of fraud and technology, the interplay of customers and the claim process, and more.
Ostensibly, each attendee will take away something slightly different from the show. However, regardless of your level of claim fitness, this year's content will impact your professional journey for years to come.
