World Insurance Forum is listing dealing with global climate change, insurance regulation, and economic and political instability as topics for its next meeting to be held in Bermuda.

The session running from March 14-16 in Tuckers Point Hotel and Spa will air those topics during four CEO panels over the two days of the event for the international (re)insurance industry.

Potential costs and opportunities for the insurance industry from climate change following the Copenhagen summit will be a topic as well as embedding risk management.

Geneva Association Managing Director Patrick Liedtkem, whose organization is a think-tank and research institution supported by the insurance industry, will be featured as a keynote speaker, WIF said.

Panels in addition to CEOs will include academics, economists and regulators from various venues.

Michael Butt, WIF honorary chairman and chairman of Axis Capital Ltd., said, "Top executives of many leading Bermuda companies will be present, in speaking capacities and as delegates, which is to be expected as the WIF was created by the industry for the industry, and the Island is a significant presence in the global marketplace."

Neill Currie, WIF Advisory Board chairman and CEO of RenaissanceRe Ltd. said, "The CEO panel has been the best attended session at each previous WIF and in acknowledgement we have introduced four such panels to provide in-depth discussions and comprehensive access to industry leadership for delegates and the media."

Robin Spencer-Arscott, WIF Operating Committee chairman, said opening day of the Forum will be addressed by Paula Cox, Bermuda deputy premier and minister of finance.

WIF said it has opened general registration on its Web site for (re)insurance executives, corporate insurance buyers, brokers, analysts, regulators and invited media representatives.
