In his new role, Gillen will report to Chris Barnes, chief claims officer, Zurich Global Corporate.
Gillen has more than 25 years of extensive experience in marine claims and risk engineering, most recently serving as senior vice president and president of Chartis Marine Claims Adjusters Inc. Prior to his time at Chartis, Gillen held numerous senior level positions within the industry. Additionally, he has served as chairman of the Service Committee for the American Institute of Marine Underwriters for the last eight years, and is an adjunct professor with the American Institute of Marine Underwriters.
