President Barack Obama recently spoke to America’s school children (well, most of them, anyway) about the importance of working hard to achieve their goals. Perhaps this 21st Century president also should have mentioned a significant new-century problem. Term papers, research papers, and essays are only a click away for students at all learning levels. The Internet is rife with written reports to “help” students write “original” papers on a seemingly endless number of topics, workers’ compensation among them.

Workers’ compensation is a complex insurance product, with state-specific regulations, ever-evolving court rulings, and an increasingly litigious environment. However, you can get “all you ever really needed to know about workers’ compensation, but were afraid to ask,” for an astonishing low price if you know where to look. One web site offers a 770-word “overview of workers’ compensation programs and laws,” complete with four sources, for $27.95. The same site will set you up with a 3,985-word “comprehensive look at the system its benefits and challenges,” with 17 sources, for $108.95. Many sites helpfully offer discount pricing for multiple purchases: “Buy one, get 40 percent off the second paper!” they exclaim.

For those with more money than time, custom research is available. Prices are time-sensitive, perhaps banking on a student’s last-minute panic. For papers required in just a few hours, the cost may rise to $80 a page. For students thinking ahead, the price can drop to $20 a page. All papers are “guaranteed,” include a “free” bibliography, and are designed by font, margin, and type specifications to generally accepted school formats.
