Workers' compensation is a complex insurance product, with state-specific regulations, ever-evolving court rulings, and an increasingly litigious environment. However, you can get "all you ever really needed to know about workers' compensation, but were afraid to ask," for an astonishing low price if you know where to look. One web site offers a 770-word "overview of workers' compensation programs and laws," complete with four sources, for $27.95. The same site will set you up with a 3,985-word "comprehensive look at the system its benefits and challenges," with 17 sources, for $108.95. Many sites helpfully offer discount pricing for multiple purchases: "Buy one, get 40 percent off the second paper!" they exclaim.
For those with more money than time, custom research is available. Prices are time-sensitive, perhaps banking on a student's last-minute panic. For papers required in just a few hours, the cost may rise to $80 a page. For students thinking ahead, the price can drop to $20 a page. All papers are "guaranteed," include a "free" bibliography, and are designed by font, margin, and type specifications to generally accepted school formats.
The ticklish question of plagiarism appears to be addressed on all the sites. Most sites include the disclaimer that the papers are for research only and are not to be handed in as-is with the buyer's name substituted for the paid author. One site strives to make its users feel better about purchasing its products by offering the following: "Why do students plagiarize? Are they lazy? Yes! Are they procrastinators? Yes! Are they evil kids who don't want to work? No!!! Anyone who takes the time to get out of bed and go to class every morning of their own free will is willing to work." Well, yes, 80 percent of life is about just showing up -- but the other 20 percent is about "following through."
The FAQs on these web sites are intriguing. Some examples of concerns and the scripted answers (with the exact wording, phrasing, and punctuation intact) are:
Q. You won't mail the paper to my home, right?
A. Our paper will be emailed to the email address that you provide in the order form. We will NOT mail a copy of the paper to your home.
Q. How can I be sure you will email the paper after I pay?
A. Please rest assured that we operate an extremely honest service.
Q. What is the difference between ghost writing and plagiarism?
A. Plagiarism, is when you turn out papers as your own, without permission of the person, who really wrote the paper, when a ghost writer, is a specifically writing for your purposes. If you are in need of a ghost writer - then (company name deleted) is your first choice. This website is specifically created for students, who are in need of academic assistance. Basically, when you order a custom paper from (company name deleted) - a ghost writer is assigned to your order, which is specifically trained in your field of study, to successfully accomplish the written assignment you are given. (company name deleted) is a website, where you can buy a paper that is 100% plagiarism free. All our ghost writers write papers from scratch. You must be 100% sure, that you won't get in trouble for your ghost written papers, as our professional writers tend to make an outstanding job for you, so you will be our long standing customer.
That explanation is so rife with punctuation and syntax errors, one wonders how the company is still in business.
Another site helpfully offers a definition for "thesis" for those who want one but perhaps don't know what it is: "Thesis is a treatise defending an idea or claim derived from research... ." A mouse click and credit card qualify as research? While these shortcuts may get some people through school, the graduates will be in for a rude awakening in a real insurance office, where they won't be able to use a ghostwriter to get the job done.
