Florida residents can now access an online Insurance Library, which provides "comprehensive information on financial and insurance issues," Florida Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink announced.
"Our online Insurance Library is a convenient place for Floridians to find useful information when making informed decisions regarding their family's insurance needs–something especially important on the brink of hurricane season," said Ms. Sink.
Ms. Sink's announcement said the Insurance Library explains common terms used in an insurance policy, "allowing Floridians to be better informed and prepared so they can get the coverage they need."
The library provides home insurance tips–including information on coverages, agents, deductibles, cancellation/nonrenewals, and more, Ms. Sink said.
It will also provide tips and definitions associated with insurance topics such as disaster preparedness, rates, premium finance companies, workers' compensation, life insurance, health insurance, auto and travel insurance. Links to other Web sites and resources will also be provided.
The library is online at MyFloridaCFO.com.
