Each year, Claims Magazine awards an academic scholarship to a student at the Katie School of Insurance and Financial Services at Illinois State University. The program encompasses real-world learning opportunities and internships to provide a foundation from which students can build careers in insurance and risk management. This year's award recipient, Jeff Henderson, talks to Claims' Senior Editor Christina Bramlet about his experiences at the school and the sacrifice he made for the profession.
