This week, Claims Magazine completed some much-needed spring cleaning on its web site, www.claimsmag.com. While the first thing readers will notice is the clean, streamlined look, we also have increased the functionality of the site, making it easier for you to find the information you need. Here's a summary of the updates implemented or those soon to come.

Tweet Suite/Blogs. Don't know what Twitter is? You will soon, whether it's from our site or not. Sign up to follow our postings, which by function cannot exceed 140 characters. That means we keep you updated with just the essentials. Kevin Quinley's blog, The Claims Coach, is also there to keep claim professionals on top of their games. Web Exclusives. So many topics, not enough print pages. With our web exclusive section, we're on a mission to bring even more educational material to claim professionals who want to stay in the know. Look for weekly updates on current topics.

Improved Directories and Event Listings. Input your own events and directory information using our automated input system.

Seamless Searching. Don't fret -- our archive of articles is intact. But we've added new functionalities that enable better and more intuitive searching. Like what a particular author has to say? Click on his name and you'll find every other article he's ever written for us. Going forward, we will also provide author biographies and contact information for every contributor.

Weather Widget. Our home page now features updates from The Weather Channel to keep catastrophe adjusters, risk managers, and first responders up to date on extreme weather and developing cyclones. Want to track an incoming hurricane? Yup, it's got that.

Career Center. We will be expanding this section within the next few weeks so that you'll be the first to know about that claim position opening up in Maui.

Comments. We know our readers have a lot to say. Make your comments about articles directly on the site and join your peers in adding to the educational discussion.
