Two surplus lines groups jointly announced an upcoming automation conference of interest to members and to information technology professionals of member firms, billing it as the only automation and management technology conference geared to the E&S industry.

The American Association of Managing General Agents and the National Association of Professional Surplus Lines Offices, Ltd., said the 2009 AAMGA Automation & Technology Management Conference will be held on March 14-17, at the Crowne Plaza in San Diego, Calif.

Subtitled "Bringing IT All Together," the AAMGA conference is open to members of the King of Prussia, Pa.-based AAMGA and Kansas City, Mo.-based NAPSLO, and promises to provide opportunities to gain practical and immediately useful information to improve the operational performance–and results–of member agencies and insurance companies, according to the conference brochure.
