Kim Newberry, an associate at Meadowbrook Insurance Group, was presented with the Professional Underwriter of the Year Award by the Michigan Council of the National Association of Insurance Women (NAIW) at their annual convention in Grand Rapids, Mich.At Meadowbrook, Newberry is commercial underwriter for the Michigan Municipal League Liability and Property Pool. She has served as president of the Insurance Association of Metropolitan Detroit and in several chair and officer positions for the Michigan Council of NAIW. She serves on the Michigan Council of NAIW (International) as custodian of Funds and Credentials chair and on the Region IV Education Committee. In June 2008, Newberry received the Underwriter of the Year award from the Insurance Association of Metropolitan Detroit, Inc. Award, a local association affiliated with NAIW (International), qualifying her for consideration for an award at the regional level.For more information, visit www.meadowbrook.com.
