Although the wording of the dishonesty exclusion will vary from one policy to the next, it typically will bar coverage for claims arising out of dishonest, fraudulent or criminal acts, errors or omissions committed by the insured.

One fairly typical exclusion provides that coverage is precluded for:

"Loss in connection with any claim or claims made against the insureds brought about or contributed to by the fraudulent, dishonest, or criminal acts of the insureds; however, the provisions of this exclusion shall not apply should a judgment or other final adjudication thereof fail to establish fraudulent, dishonest or criminal acts."
