The Western Insurance Agents Association said Kathy McDonald was named chairwoman during its recent meeting for the 2008-2009 term.
Ms. McDonald recently joined the Watkin Insurance Group, LLC in Henderson, Nev.
Named chairman-elect was Phil Hakopian, president and owner of Cornerstone Commercial and Personal Insurance Services of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.
Neal Stanley was named vice chairman. He is executive vice president of United Valley Insurance Services Inc., an independent agency cluster headquartered in Fresno, Calif.
Carol Connors was named secretary/treasurer. She is the owner and founder of Ck Specialty Insurance Association Inc. in Morgan Hill, Calif.
Michael Golden of Imhoff Sunland Insurance in Fresno is immediate past chairman.
