Marshall & Swift/Boeckh (MSB) will begin offering a certification program for its IntegriClaim property claim estimating software.
The certification could be helpful to adjusters because those who become certified will be able to prove their effectiveness at using the tool. After satisfactorily completing a comprehensive test, successful participants receive a certificate and are included in MSB's database of certified IntegriClaim specialists. This could present increased opportunities to independent adjusters with companies who use and rely on the software to settle claims.
IntegriClaim is designed to help users estimate structural and contents property claims consistently. The program also aims to help carriers manage their overall indemnity exposure and enable prompt and fair claim handling. The estimates generated by the program are based upon a "total-component" structural database that includes:
Construction line items and trade categories;
Crew sizes, productivity rates, and production variables;
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data; and
ZIP and postal code segmentation for the entire building cost database.
