The Pittsburgh-based law firm of Fried, Kane, Walters, Zuschlag and Grochmal has published the “2008 Employers' Guide to Pennsylvania's Workers' Compensation Law,” hoping to help Pennsylvania employers contain their workers' compensation exposure and control costs.

The publication provides an introduction to the Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Act; discusses an employer's duties as they relate to the workers' compensation law; explains how a Pennsylvania workers' compensation claim works; outlines the litigated workers' compensation case; and offers suggestions of strategies employers can use to handle a workers' compensation issue. It also discusses the remedies available to an employer to alter an injured worker's benefit status.

The guide is available at www.friedkanelaw.com. A hard copy can be obtained by calling 412-261-4774.
