The Western Insurance Agents Association (WIAA) has endorsed insurance programs offered by MexiPass Global Assurance as part of a new strategic partnership. In turn, MexiPass will offer its programs through WIAA independent agents.
MexiPass is a managing general agent that offers commercial and personal lines insurance products to American residents and businesses in Mexico and other foreign countries. MexiPass programs are underwritten by AIG-Mexico.
Ken Nigohosian, executive vice president of WIAA, said in a statement, "Endorsing a program of this quality pairs well with our association goals of introducing opportunities that will help our member community to prosper."
In an interview, Mr. Nigohosian said the partnership is a good opportunity for WIAA to strategically align itself with MexiPass, whose products and services have been praised by WIAA agents.
Mr. Nigohosian added, "And it's more specifically because of [MexiPass'] association through the independent agents rather than through a captive source or direct source that we've offered our support for the great programs and the great service that they provide, specifically in Mexico."
Rodrigo Sebastiani, senior vice president at MexiPass, said in a statement, "MexiPass is very proud to align ourselves with an organization of WIAA's stature."
