Hurricane season is right around the corner, and with it will come the need for catastrophe adjusters, especially for the state-sponsored insurer of last resort for Florida, Citizens Insurance, which recently became the largest insurer in the state because of insurer withdrawals and extreme rate hikes.
Independent adjusters should take note of the companies that were accepted into the program. These firms likely will be the first to seek out seasoned and experienced independent adjusters when disasters strike, and since they provide 1.3 million Floridians with property insurance, opportunities could be numerous.
